Joy Marilyn Allen, 84, of Lake Lotawana, MO., passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, with her loving family surrounding her.

A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Friday, August 10, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055; with burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery next to her beloved husband Arthur Allen.

Joy was born October 4th, 1933, in Atherton, MO to Ivy & George Conwell. Joy was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and Jack of all trades who enjoyed fishing on the seas of the Florida keys for many winters. "Chipper" lived an adventurous life filled with lots of family camping trips, garage sales, gardening, and always working on projects.

Survivors include her two sisters, Bonnita Papetti & Verna Tipper, her daughter Rhonda Wenzel & son Rusty Threadgill and wife Cathie; six grandchildren, Jeff, Sabrina, Zach, Maghan, Logan, and Jonathan; and seven great grandchildren.
