Guy Emerson Conwell, 45, Route 1, Rich Hill, died Nov. 22 at the Bates County Memorial Hospital, Butler.
Born Nov. 2, 1936, in Blue Springs, he was the son of George R. and Ivy Hanson Conwell. He was married Dec. 2, 1957, to Barbara Drury in Miami, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and an employee of the Derby Concrete Company, Blue Springs.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara; a son, Gregory Conwell; and four daughters, Maurice Conwell, Patricia Conwell, Guylene Conwell and Kendra Conwell, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George R. Conwell, El Dorado Springs; four brothers, Robert W. Conwell, El Dorado Springs, Clarence Conwell, Blue Springs, Joe Ray Conwell, Santa Ana, California, and Francis Conwell, North Kansas City; three sisters, Joy Mayfield and Bonnie Papeti, both of Lake Lottawana, and Verna Tipper, El Dorado Springs, and a granddaughter.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Sweetwater Tabernacle Church, Rich Hill, with the Rev. Carl Covey officiating.
Music will be provided by the Sweetwater Tabernacle Orchestra, accompanying the soloists, Vickie Parker and Danny W. Tarpenning.
Services are under the direction of the Booth-Flexsenhar Funeral Home of Rich Hill.
