A Celebration of Life will be held 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Paul was born January 15, 1960, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Milo and Karen (DeGreif) Letts. He attended Washington High School.
On November 10, 1979, Paul and Terry Heitmann were united in marriage at the First Christian Church, Center Point.
He worked for and retired from the Local 125 Pipefitter Union.
An outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, boating and camping. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and his dogs. Paul never knew a stranger, always willing to help anyone out. He was a jokester and will be missed by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Terry Letts of Center Point; son, Cory (Nina) Letts of Center Point; daughter, Ashley (Andrew) Kempton of Center Point; grandchildren, Emily and Tabitha Letts, Hunter, Zander and Violet Kempton; sisters, Laurie (Kevin) Saylor of Osborne, Kansas, Donna Brislawn of Clancy, Montana, and Jill Oliveira of Bridgeport, Connecticut; dad, Al (Tami) Haars of Guttenberg; grandmother, Violet Brislawn of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Haars; dad, Wilbur Brislawn; father, Milo Letts; brother, Mitch Haars; and niece, Cassandra Fisher.
