John Rice Sepmoree, passed away in his home in the morning hours of Monday, August 6, 2018 at the age of 86. John was born in Crockett, Texas on October 6, 1931, the second of four children. He was always proud to be a Texan, telling everyone that he would never live anywhere outside the Texas state line. And with the exception of his four years of service in the Navy during the Korean War, he never lived away from his native state. John married his wife, Hurley Ann, in 1956 and they had three daughters. He worked at Texas Instruments for almost 30 years and then retired to his home on the lake in Bonham where he kept his boat tied to the dock in his backyard and spent many happy days fishing. John loved to compete with friends and family for who could catch the biggest fish, and by his account he most often won that contest! But, most important to John was his family. He loved it when everyone got together for special occasions and was always inviting everyone to come to the lake for a fish fry. When he was standing over the fryer making fish, he was in his glory.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Hurley Ann, his parents Dave and Opal Sepmoree, and his brothers David Sepmoree and James Sepmoree.

Funeral services for John Sepmoree, age 86, will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow in the Rice Cemetery.
