Jewel C. Long, 90, widow of Jenkins William Long, of Duncan, South Carolina, passed away Saturday morning, August 4, 2018.
The visitation will be held Monday morning, August 6, 2018 from 11 o’clock until service time, in Parks Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Summerville Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Joy Lutheran Church, 3980 Moore-Duncan Hwy, Moore, SC 29369.
Mrs. Long was born on Wednesday August 1, 1928 in Summerville, SC, a daughter of the late John Harvey Cone and Beulah Myers Cone. Jewel retired as a Register Nurse, after practicing for 55 years.
Mrs. Long is survived by two daughters, Kathy Archenhold and her husband Terry of Duncan, SC, Diane Thomas and her husband Bryan of Galatin, TN; one son Jenkins William “Billy” Long, Jr and his wife Terri of Summerville; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
