Patricia T. Kilgore, 83, of Malta NY, died unexpectedly on January 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Edward F. And Mae Rech Tinney.

After graduating from Immaculata College, Pat married her high school sweetheart, Jack, in 1955 and they had nearly 25 years together.

Both born and raised in Philadelphia, they moved their young family to Clifton Park in 1969 where Pat lived until moving to Malta in 2011.

Pat taught 3rd grade until her oldest son was born. For several years she was a substitute teacher. In 1978 she earned her C.A.C and worked as an alcoholism counselor for Saratoga County until her retirement in 1999.

Pat was an avid bridge and Scrabble player. She was very involved with her church of 47 years, Corpus Christi Church in Ushers, teaching CCD, serving as a reader, a Eucharistic minister and a member of the church counsel. She was the president of the tenant’s association for the first 5 years she lived at Highpointe Senior Apartments, a community she thoroughly enjoyed. She spent many years volunteering with Care Links and the CAPTAIN Youth Shelter Home. But the time she enjoyed and treasured the most was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Pat was predeceased by her husband John W. (Jack) Kilgore, infant son John William III, son Steven, infant granddaughter Sofia, her sister Eleanor Latimer and brother Edward Tinney Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Caren) of Lakeway, TX, Edward (Lisa) and Robert (Michele) of Lancaster NY and her daughter, Patty (Paula Symanski) of Malta. Also survived by her adored grandchildren, Daniel (Rebecca), Allison, Patrick (Jill), Alexandra, Jeffrey, Erica, Elena and Abigail and several nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Corpus Christi Church in Ushers. A calling hour will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the mass in the church.
