Anna was the daughter of Johann Cornelsen (1852-1915) and Anna Peters (1854-1923). In 1904 she came to Canada with her family to Main Centre, Saskatchewan, where she married David Jacob Rempel on 18 Jul 1912. They were blessed with 9 children: Menno (11 Aug 1913), Anne Elizabeth (15 Dec 1914), Waldo (22 Feb 1917), Berth Viola (18 Mar 1919), Leonard (18 Mar 1921), Selma Gertrude (7 Sep 1922), Otto (3 Dec 1924-27 Dec 1945), Victor (10 Sep 1927-9 Oct 1927), and Doris Clara (1 Jan 1929) Rempel. In 1941 the family moved to Vancouver, BC. After 30 years of marriage, David (52) passed away in 1942. Anna later moved to Herbert, SK where she passed away in 1970 at the age of 79 years.
