Carroll Franklin Quarry, 80 of Walnut Ridge, went to be with the Lord Wednesday August 1, 2018.

He was born January 06, 1938 in Clover Bend to W.E. "Bill" Quarry & Gladys Thelma Bowen Quarry.

After graduating, he served in the army. After leaving the military, he lived and worked in Little Rock. Following the death of his parents, he unselfishly returned to his home place in Clover Bend to care for his special needs brother, Jerry. For 31 years, Carroll gave his full devotion to Jerry's needs. For the last two years, Jerry & Carroll lived in Walnut Ridge. His brothers, sisters, & family are forever grateful for his compassionate care.

Carroll was an avid gardener and anyone that passed his home was treated to a beautiful array of color from his day lilies. One flower held a special place in his heart. Over the years, he developed a special variety of lily, he appropriately named Gladys, in honor of his mother who shared in his love for flowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Ed Quarry and Burl Allen Quarry; and nephew, Jr. Quarry.

He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Quarry & wife Sue, & Jerry Quarry; and sisters, Patricia Winfrey, & Barbara Brumley.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday August 2, 2018 at Clover Bend Cemetery with Roger Brumley and Darrell McQuay officiating.

Interment is under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, Arkansas.
