She died at 20 Manor Road Folkestone. She was baptised on the 6 Nov 1831 in the Wesleyan Chapel, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Father: Charles Hollamby, a nurseryman, Mother: Harriet. She married William on the 11th September 1855 in Broadwater, Sussex.
In 1861 they were both drapers and grocers, living in Bayle Street with three children, Willm Thos 4, Mary 3 and Hetty 1. All born Dover. Also 6 draper's assistants, 3 grocer's assistants and a draper's apprentice.
In 1871 they were still living in Bayle Street, with 7 children, Mary 13, Hetty 11, Ellen H 8, Kate 7 , Emily 5, Grace 3 and Graham 7/12. Also three assistants and three servants.
After William died, Esther appears to have taken over the business, being described on the 1881 and 1891 census as a draper and grocer, living at 20 Manor Road. In 1881 she had 7 children with her, Mary 22, Hetty 21, Nellie 18, Kate 17, Emily 15, Grace 14 and Graham 10. Also two boarders. None of the girls had occupations noted, but they may have been helping in the shop. Also a niece, Lizzie Lavez, 20 and three servants. In 1891 only one daughter, Grace 24 was at home. They had 2 servants.
In 1901 she was living on her own means.
