He was a member of Central Methodist Church in Kings Mountain. He served nine years with the National Guard and he loved snake and deer hunting.
Mr. Dye is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janice Jacobs Dye; son, Charles Dye Jr. of the home; brother, Eugene Dye of Clover, SC; grandson, Jonathan Phillip Dye
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, John Hobert Dye.
