HAGBERG – John J., of Canton, formerly of Westwood, died February 19, 2011. Beloved husband of Mary A. (Payne) Heap and the late Giovanna M. (Mollica) Hagberg. Loving father of Brian Hagberg and his wife Catherine of North Attleboro and Karen Hagberg of Maui, Hawaii. Step-father of Tracy Connolly and her husband Kevin of Canton, Patty Ciolfi and her husband Larry of Scituate, Joseph Heap and his wife Hellen of Worcester and Christopher Heap of Taunton. Devoted grandfather of Caroline, Will and Emma Hagberg, Christina and Matthew Connolly, Grace, Sarah and Christopher Ciolfi and Joseph Heap Jr. Brother of Helen Chandler and Dottie Hagberg both of Dedham, Jean Hagberg of Marblehead and the late Charles Hagberg and Carol Stearns. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Tuesday February 22nd from 4-8 pm. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning February 23rd at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church at 10am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Canton Dept. of Veterans Services, 92 Pleasant St., Canton, MA 02021 or to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445. John was a U.S. Army Veteran.
