The Presbytery of Moose Jaw places on record with deep sorrow the loss suffered by the Church in the death of the Reverend Robert MacKnight, B.A., who passed away quietly in his sleep on the morning of April 1, 1946, at the age of 87.
He was born near Millbrook, Ontario, as a McKnight and received his elementary education there. He proceeded to the University of Toronto where he took a course in Arts and thence to Presbyterian College, Montreal, where he received the diploma in theology. After his ordination he laboured in congregations at Warsaw and Dunnville, Ontario; Pipestone and Minton, Manitoba; Maple Creek, Sintaluta and Briercrest, Saskatchewan. Mr. MacKnight was respected and loved by all who knew him. After his retirement he made his home for over fifteen years with a daughter, Mrs. C.S. Stewart of Moose Jaw. He is survived by four sons and three daughters and the Presbytery conveys its sincere sympathy to them.
The funeral was conducted in Moose Jaw on April the 3rd by Rev. R.A. Davidson. Internment took place in Regina.
