Dorothy E. (Vowels) Hite, 99, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, July 27th, 2018. Born on February 19, 1919 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

She retired from Schenley Distillery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Catherine Vowels, one sister, Emma J. Kalbfleisch and two brothers, Marion Vowels and Carroll Vowels.

She is survived by her son, Jim Hite (Betty), 5 grandsons, Steve Hite (Kathy), Bill Hite (Anna), Andy Hite (Becca), Joe Hite and Tim Hite, great-grandchildren, Abigail Hite, Maggie Hite, Lexi Livingston, Mikey Livingston and Jeanna Livingston, one great great-grandchild, Eden Denny, one sister, Mary A. Wimberg and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 7th, from 3PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Wednesday, August 8th at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave, Louisville, KY, with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
