Betty Jean Phillips, 86, of Willow Park, formerly of Winters, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018.
She was born March 27, 1932 to Wallace and Bertha Timmons in Young County, Texas. She attended school in Tulia and graduated from Bryson. Betty was a long time resident of Runnels and Taylor Counties.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and daughter Bertha Grohman Brown.
She is survived by 2 children: Elizabeth White and husband Barry of Willow Park, and Freddie Grohman and wife Landa of Winters; 6 grandchildren: Tabatha Davis and husband Kyle of Itasca, Tamra Grohman of Winters, Travis Grohman of Wingate, Trenton Grohman of Channing, Brittany Van Hattem and husband Mathew of Weatherford, and Blaise White of Willow Park; and 2 great-grandchildren: Adam and Eric Van Hattem of Weatherford.
The family will receive friends at the Winters Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Winters Public Library or the Winters Volunteer Fire Department.
