Jay Max Hunt
  Jay Max Hunt, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend died July 17, 1997 at the VA Hospital due to complications following heart surgery.
  Born July 23, 1926 in Independence, Idaho to Max Elias and Beulah Anderson Hunt. Married Fern Hughes on December 30, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marriage solmenized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 15, 1964. Jay retired from Premium Oil Co. in 1988 where he drove truck for 39 years, accumulating 4,804,800 miles of accident-free driving. He served his country proudly during World War II. Jay loved fishing, gardening, puttering in his garage and most of all, his family.
  He is survived by his wife Fern of 49 1/2 years; son Allen (Sherry), daughter Pam (Paul) Takos, and son, Ted (Sherri). He was a devoted Grandpa to ten grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Cleo (Roosevelt) Gubler, Joyce Hughes, Joy Hardy, Dee (Zenetta), Carman Barrett, RaDean (Larry) Hartzell, Bonnie (John) Aslami, Colleen (Norm) Sorensen, Gary (Lorna) and Susan (Carl) Perry. Preceded in death by his parents.
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 1997 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
  In lieu of flowers, it was Jay's wish that donations be made to the Primary Childrens Medical Center because of his love for children.
