Dovie Davis, age 74, passed away, Friday, July 27, 2018.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Main Street Church of Christ in Lockney. Interment will follow at the Lockney Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney.

Dovie was born January 29, 1944 to Bill Auld and Mary Adeline Holt in Paducah. She married Jerry Davis November 13, 1959 in Amarillo. Dovie was involved in the Daughters of America Revolution, the Lockney Library Book Club. She retired from the Lockney School System. Her hobbies she enjoyed were oil painting and reading. She always made sure to keep everybody in line. Dovie enjoyed watching Law and Order and most of all she loved spending her time with her grandchildren.

Dovie is preceded in death by her parents; and 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband; Jerry Davis formerly of Lockney, her children; Randy Davis and wife Heather of Indianapolis, Joey Davis and wife Shanon of Childress, Julie May and husband Rodney of Elkhart, TX, grandchildren; Greg, Wes, Jake, Kray, Levi, Holt, Emily, and 5 great grandchildren.
