He was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Herdon, the son of the late Albert T. and Vinnie Klinger Strohecker. He was preceded by his wife, M. Maxine (Snyder) Strohecker, on May 23, 2008.
He is survived by: children, Bonnie Lee Bahr, of North Carolina, Richard Strohecker, of Maryland, Keith Strohecker, of Hegins, and Ted Strohecker, of Hegins; and stepchildren, Sharon Ann Howell and Donald Swank, both of McClure.
Also surviving are: brothers and sisters, Faye Wilkinson, of Dornsife, Mable Thomas, of McClure, Dean Strohecker, of Tower City, Brenda Sheib, of Gratz, Gene “Butch” Strohecker, of Herndon, Patricia “Pats” Kembel, of Herndon, David Strohecker, of Herndon, and Ken Strohecker, of Klingerstown; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grand- children.
Albert was preceded by, Robert Strohecker, Lawrence Strohecker, Mark Strohecker, Lucille Maurer Peggy Bordner, Arlene Brown and Marlin Klinger.
Albert was a truckdriver for Crown Motors for 20 years, he worked at Avetex Fibers for 15 years and was a farmer for many years.
Albert loved and was loved by his family, his caretakers and he also was loved by his animals Sparky, Rocky, Brutus, Baxter and his cat, Cuddles. Albert greatly enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, attending bluegrass concerts and being an avid follower of the bluegrass band, Remington Ryde.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan St., with the Rev. Dale Thomas officiating. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
