Son of Cornelius Breyandt (1676-1720) and Margrietje Symese van Winckel (1676-1729), who were married on Dec. 7, 1700 at Hackensack in Bergen County, New Jersey, Andries Breyandt was baptized at Hackensack on January 3, 1714.

Andrew Briant, yeoman, of the Borough of Elizabeth, Essex County, died testate with a will dated Oct. 27, 1749, which was proved Dec. 2, 1749, leaving an estate of both real and personal property. His legatees were his wife Elizabeth, and his children, John, Cornelius, Samuel, Andrew, and Mary Briant, all under age. His executors were his friend Charles Hole, schoolmaster, and his brother Simeon Bryant. The witnesses to the will were Samuel Brooks, Daniel Pierson, Martha Post. [Wills Liber E, page 350. Note the discrepancy in the date of his will's probate and the year of his death per his headstone.]

Andrew's wife Elizabeth was a daughter of John Denman (d. 1714/5) by his wife Mary. Andrew's mother-in-law, widow Mary Denman (c.1674-1761), married Philip Brooks (c.1675-1747) on Jan. 2, 1716 at Maspeth, Queens County, New York.
