MRS. CHAS. HERTEL
DIED ON MONDAY

Mrs. Josephine L. Hertel, wife of County Superintendent of Schools Charles Hertel, residing seven miles south of Belleville, died on Monday morning, aged 63 years.

She was born on Turkey Hill, May 14, 1846, and was a daughter of the late Jos R. Wilderman. She was united in marriage with Charles Hertel on October 16, 1873, and besides her husband leaves the following children: Dr. H. C. Hertel of Port O'Connor, Tex.; Mrs. Mary L. Frick of Sea Drift, Tex.; Walter C. Hertel of Houston, Tex.; Dr. Garfield E. Hertel, member of staff of St. Louis City Hospital, and Clarence A. Hertel, at home.

She was a sister of Joseph R. Wilderman of this county, and also leaves her sisters, Mrs. Mary Pitts, in Burlington, Kas., and Mrs. Nellie Ward, in Wellington, Kas.

The funeral takes place at 12 o'clock Thursday from Woodside farm to Green Mount Cemetery.
