DONALD FRISH
Donald Frisch(sic), 69, of 18924 Danner Road, Valders, died on March 1, 2010 at home, following a 10 year battle with cancer. The funeral will be at 11 am on Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Collins. The Rev. Robert Hankwitz will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday and then at the church from 9 am until the service.
Don was born on March 31, 1940 in Manitowoc County, son of the late James and Nora Bloedorn Frisch. He married Barb Wegner on July 8, 1961 in Collins. He graduated from Valders High School and worked for 36 years at Thermal Fischer Scientific, formerly Hamilton in Two Rivers.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Collins having served on various boards and was very involved in the upkeep and maintenance of the congregation. He also was a founding member of the Rockea Hunting Club and a member of the Seagulls Club. Don and his sons loved to fish whenever and wherever they could.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Todd and Cindy Frisch of New Holstein, Doug Frisch of St. Nazianz, Ross and Lisa Frisch of Collins, Barry Frisch of St. Nazianz and Shane and Kay Frisch of Two Rivers; seven grandchildren, Jenna and Justin Frisch, Sara and Jason Strutz, David VandeLoo and Jason Laurin and Audrey Berg; one great granddaughter, Mary Rose Strutz. He is further survived by a sister, Liinda Herzog of Valders; two sisters-in-law, Linda Frisch and Joyce Wegner, both of Manitowoc, very dear friends, Alvin (Jr.) and Helen Rabe, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronald and a brother-in-law, Clyde Herzog. A memorial fund has been established in Donald's name.
