Glenn Bertram (Bert) Young was born to Vernie and Dan on the wild plains of Glendive, Montana in 1942. In 1948, they packed up Glenn and his two younger brothers Steve and John and moved to an empty 80 acres in Wapato, Washington and started building their farm. By the mid-sixties Steve and Bert graduated college and went to serve in Vietnam. During his time in the Navy Seabees, Lieutenant Young met Elizabeth Smith, and off they went to Japan with her young son, Glen, tagging along. They married in Tokyo. He left the Navy, went to Texas Instruments and moved his new family to Dallas in 1969. Then came his pride and joy, Julie! The kids grew up and that son of his had two children, Amanda and Trevor, whom he loved with all his heart. Amanda had two babies, Annabelle and Georgia. Since his retirement from Raytheon, Dad enjoyed photography and writing. We will treasure the memory of our father forever… We know he is finally at peace…

Survived by son Glen (Polly) of Garland, TX, daughter Julie of Euless, TX, brother Steve (Sharon) of Wapato, WA, grandchildren Amanda (Clay) and Trevor, great granddaughters Annabelle and Georgia, nieces Ashley and Katie, great nieces Ruby and Ellie, and great nephew Max. A memorial will be held at a future date.
