Phoebe Ellen Stooksbury was born to Reuben Craig Stooksbury and Orlena Irwin in 1868.
In 1894 she had a baby named Anne out-of-wedlock.
In March 1895 she married a mid-50s Civil War veteran named
John Robert Draper.
They had at least 3 children.
Mary Frances Draper born September 1897.
Maggie born 1899--but apparently died as an infant.
William LaFayette Draper was born in December 1900.
She was widowed in March 1901 at the death of JRD.
At some point, she gave up the children and moved to Lafollette, TN--to work in the household of William Pierce and his invalid wife. This was near the Coke Ovens of Iveydale Road---around 1904.
At some point, she married Will Barnett--who also died February 1931.
Her death certificated is found under the name Ellen Barnett.
