Jackie Lee Garner, age 78 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on November 1, 1939 to the late Ernest and Ola Mae (Booker) Garner. Before his retirement, Jackie worked as a handyman, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his favorite pet, “Rusty Garner.” In addition to his parents, Jackie is preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Allen Garner; and sisters, Virginia Lewis, and Ernestine Partin. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Gail Garner; daughters, Stephanie (John) Blaylock and granddaughter, Aaliyah Blaylock of Hillsboro, and Sherry Pierce of Decherd; son, Jeremiah “Jeremy” Pierce of Winchester; sister, Willie Mae Brown of Winchester; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Wayne “Buddy” Adams of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm Friday, July 20, 2018 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
