Laura Alice Masiker was born July 27, 1855 in Indiana and passed away April 27, 1943 at the age of 87 years and nine months in Spokane, Wash., where she had made her home for the past nine years.
On November 15, 1876 she was married to William W. Masiker at Goldendale Wash.
Nine children were born to them of whom two survive, Walter B., of Spokane, and Mrs. Myra Phelps, of San Diego, Calif.
Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Ida Sanders, of Vancouver; Mrs. Mary Basiker of Eugene, Ore.; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Christian Advent church for many years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Masiker, of Spokane, were held here Saturday. Mrs. Masiker was a member of the pioneer Henderson family coming to this vicinity in 1872.
Rev. Wheeler of Goldendale gave the sermon and Mrs. E.W. Peck was soloist. Burial was in the family plot in the Maryhill cemetery. Out of town relatives who were here for the services, where Mr. and Mrs. Walter Masiker of Spokane, Mrs. Ida Sanders and Mrs. Lois Davis of Vancouver, A.L. Sanders and Mrs. Violet Chandler of Portland, Mrs. Ollie Masiker and Dick Masiker of Wishram, and Mr. and Mrs. U.J. Sanders of Celilo.
