Ethel Mae "Betz" Deitrich, 86, of Klingerstown, passed away Tuesday at Green Valley Skilled Nursing Center, Pitman.

Ethel was born in Pitman, July 25, 1931, a daughter of the late George and Eleanor Herb Kahler.

She graduated from the Hegins Township High School in 1950 and was employed at the former Amy's Sportswear in Valley View for 20 years. Ethel last worked as a cook at the Friendly Nursing Home for 15 years, retiring in 1999.

She was a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge No. 433 of Pitman and was formerly a member of the Mahantongo Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crafts.

She was the widow of Kenneth C. "Drum" Deitrich, who passed away in 2014, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Kermit L. Kahler.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Jacobs Cemetery, Pitman.
