A double funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday for Cecil A. Campbell, 30, and his son Anthony Allen 'Tony', age 7, who died Sunday afternoon, Sep. 14, 1952, in a drowning tragedy at Lake Frankston.

The service will be at St. Philips Episcopal Church with the Rev. W.A. Riemann officiating. Burials will be in New Addition (Annex) Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the father will be members of the Masonic Lodge, of which he was a member.

Pallbearers for the son will be from the Brotherhood of Railroad Firemen.

Mr. Campbell, native of Oakwood, grew up in Palestine and attended Palestine High School before joining the Army. He spent four years overseas, and on his return took a position as fireman for Missouri-Pacific Lines.

He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Masonic Lodge, and the railroad fireman's organization for which he was legislative representative.

His son Tony was an only child and a student in the second grade at Rusk Elementary School.

Surviving Mr. Campbell are his widow, Elizabeth Partridge Campbell; parents, Mr. and Mrs. V.L. Scroggins; grandmother, Mrs. Susan Holloway; brother, R.B. Scroggins, all of Palestine; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Lee Crawford of Trinity.

Tony is additionally survived by his grandfather, Harry Partridge, and other relatives in England.
