Marie Sanders Embry 97, of Prime Hill Drive Clayton, GA., died Saturday July 14, 2018 at her residence. She was the widow of James Bud Embry married for over 37 years. And was the last member of her immediate family.

Born in Washington Georgia. January 14, 1921 ,she was the daughter of the late David Edgar Sanders and Mattie Ethel Wallace Sanders. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clayton First United Methodist Church for over 54 years.

She was preceded in death besides her husband and parents, by eight brothers, Earl, Chester, Vernom, Kellett, Edgar, Jack, George, Carroll Sanders, and is survived by one son, David Embry (Linda), two daughters, Harriet Aaron, Anna Fountain (Marvin), seven grandchildren eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 17, 2018 at Clayton First United Methodist Church Clayton, Georgia., 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Stephen Streett and Rev. James E. Turpin officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park Cemetery Tiger, Georgia.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and the family will receive friends at Clayton First United Methodist Church Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. (The Service Hour). The family is at the home on Prime Hill Clayton, GA. Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Clayton First United Methodist Church (Building Fund) P.O. Box 703 Clayton, GA. 30525.
