Peggy Lynn Freeman, 63, passed away Thursday, July 5, with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 8, 1954, in Clarkston, to Lyle Draper and Mary (O'Malley) Draper. She graduated from Clarkston High School, after which she continued to reside in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley.

She had various occupations before finding her passion for gardening and growing things in outdoors. Whatever she spent her time doing, she did it well. She enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers while teaching her children and grandchildren her skills and tricks of the trade. She also enjoyed being crafty, working with beads, and making jewelry.

She loved spending time outdoors, in the mountains and by the rivers. You could often find her outside with her beloved pooches, Bella and Rita. She loved spending time in the ocean, walking on beaches, crabbing, and searching in tide pools. She found the most joy in being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors' names were omitted per the findagrave policy.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Alice O'Malley, and John and Mary Draper; her father, Lyle Draper; and her sister, Terry Draper.

Peggy enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffett and anything tie-dye, so we will be having a celebration of her life at 5 p.m. on July 22 at Asotin County Park.

Please join us as we share stories, listen to music, and eat food all while wearing tie-dye and/or Hawaiian parrots.
