Mr. Malachi Sanders, Jr. was born on July17, 1943 in Colleton County, South Carolina. One of the thirteen children born to the late Malachi, Sr. and Carrie Bell Aiken Sanders. Malachi entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his Renee Court residence, in Walterboro, South Carolina.

Malachi Sanders, Jr., was affectionately known by most as “Buck” Sanders, but to others who were close to him, he answered to “Big Daddy” and “Big Poppa”.
He founded Malachi Sanders Logging in 1972 and after 46 yearsin

business he was successful in creating a profitable business that he has been fortunate enough to leave as a legacy for his family.

“Buck” Sanders was for many years an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a skilled and excellent marksman who was an active “Winning Member” of “The Best of the Best” Shooting Club, of Walterboro, South Carolina.

Mr. Malachi Sanders, Jr., is preceded in death by one son, Moray, two sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Annie B. Lingard Sanders; his oldest daughter, Doris of Walterboro; his sons, Malachi, III of Walterboro; Lemiah of Bishopville; Jamiah of Summerville and Jerome of Walterboro; also his stepdaughter, Ann of Alexandria,Virgina; two sisters, Annie B. Williams (Rev. Joseph) of Yemassee and Dorothy Youmans of Ruffin; five brothers, Marshall Sanders (Gloria), Ernest Sanders (Ruby), Randolph Sanders (Pauline), Joe Sanders (Blythe Mae) all of Ruffin and John Sanders (Patricia) of Green Pond; one sister in law, Madell Sanders of Ruffin; two brothers in law, Peter Sharpe of Ruffin and James Jones of Orlando, FL; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, his extended family and his best friend of many years, Winfred Taylor of Walterboro.

Malachi " Buck" Sanders Jr, 74, of Walterboro, SC died at his home, Renee Ct. Saturday, July 14, 2018, He was the husband of Annie Sanders. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, July 16, 2018, at Allen Funeral Home of Walterboro. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at First Assembly of God / Faith Canter in Walterboro, SC. Allen Funeral Home of Walterboro in charge.
