There was no burial site known for him and his wife. According to two sources they were buried together on the farm where they had lived.

I have my doubts if this is a picture of Old William McCoy. I don't think there were pictures/deurrogtypes (sp?)as he died in 1822 and photos weren't invented until around 1839/1840 (I think).

He served in the American Rev. War. Some researchers have this photo attributed to his son, William McCoy. Bobbie Tolleson Brune.
