John Woodworth married Sarah Ingraham about 1775 in Dorchester, NH. The "Woodworth Family in America" assigns the wrong Sarah Ingraham as his wife. It assumed that John was still in Lebanon in 1774-1775 and the Sarah Ingraham living in Bristol fit the profile as far as age and location. John Woodworth relocated to Dorchester in 1771 and purchased his first land in 1773. See the History of Dorchester and Grafton Co. Deeds. The Junia Ingraham family was not included in the "Great Ingraham Estate", which is the only published genealogy of the Ingraham family. The information in the "Woodworth Family in America" comes verbatim from this source. "The American Genealogist" article by Donald Lines Jacobus titled "Early Ingraham Families of New England", includes the family of Junia and Hannah (Durkee) Ingraham (TAG 19:83). The Sarah who married John Woodworth was their daughter. John Woodworth and Junia Ingraham were adjacent neighbors from 1773 until the Ingrahams moved to the neighboring town of Rumney, NH before 1800.

The Sarah Ingraham who is shown to have married John Woodworth in the "Woodworth Family in America" married James Gibbs. She was the daughter Joshua and Martha (Lawton) Ingraham born on 7 July 1744 and baptized 15 July 1744. She married James Gibbs on 18 Nov 1764 at St. Michael's church in Bristol. See the RI Vital Records and the "Bristol, R.I.'s Early Settlers" as documentation. She was too old to be having twins at the age of 57 in 1801.

Regarding the death dates for John and Sarah Woodworth, I have not been able to locate an obituary or find a death record other than "The Report of the Settlement of Wayne Township" published in 1879, which shows January 1, 1829 for John and 1839 for Sally. I have been able to locate a deed dated from Ashtabula Co. dated 11 July 1828, signed by John Woodworth and Sarah Woodworth, which was witnessed by John Woodworth Jr. (There is only one John Woodworth with a son John living in Ashtabula Co. in the 1820's). Therefore all that can be verified is that John died after 11 July 1828 and before 16 March 1832. Sarah signed a deed on 16 March 1832 selling her land. Therefore we know that John predeceased her and that she died after this date.

Sarah's sister Charity (Ingraham) Ketchum daughter of Junia and Hannah (Durkee) Ingraham married William Ketchum on November 26, 1792 in Hanover, Grafton Co., New Hampshire and died in Wayne Twp. in 1853. Their daughter Charity Orilla Ketchum married Horatio Woodworth on July 11, 1816 in Wayne Twp.

Junia Ingraham was the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Sweet) Ingraham. Hannah Durkee was the daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Baker) Durkee.
