Zebina Woodworth was the son of John and Sarah (Ingraham) Woodworth, born July 30, 1789 in Dorchester, Grafton Co., New Hampshire. He married Mary Barker on September 13, 1808 at Dorchester, Grafton Co., New Hampshire. Zebina came to Williamsfield Twp., Ashtabula Co., Ohio with his parents in 1813. Around 1840 he moved his family to Carthage, Athens Co., Ohio. and finally in 1864 he moved to Wayne Co., Illinois. He is listed as Deacon Zebina Woodworth representing Williamsfield at the Grand River Baptist Association meeting in 1835.

He is a descendant of Stephen Hopkins who came to America on the Mayflower.

Obituary from the Wayne County Press, 6/26/1873:
Died, June 13, 1873, Zebina Woodworth sen., aged 83 years, 10 months and 13 days. Father Woodworth was born in Dorchester, N. H., July 30th 1789. Removed to Ohio,1813, and to Illinois 1864. He in early life united with the Missionary Baptist Church, and in its communion lived a faithful and acceptable member until his death. Funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Mr. Smith, from Rev.14:13.
