On the 11th inst., at Kaiwarra, Mr John Foley, aged 74 years
At about ten o'clock last evening an old man named Foley, who had been working at the tan yard, Kaiwarra, was walking with a man named James Holmes on the Kaiwarra Road, when he fell down in a fit. Holmes and some neighbors attended to him immediately and took him home. A doctor was sent for, but before the messenger's return Foley was dead.

An inquest was held at the Rainbow Hotel, Kaiwarra, on Friday afternoon on the body of an old man named Foley, who dropped dead suddenly on the previous evening while walking along the Kaiwarra road. From the evidence of the medical man, it appeared that the immediate cause of death was effusion of serum on the brain and as the old man was seventy-five years of age, a verdict of death from natural causes was returned.
