Rachel Savage, widow of John Shunk, died of pneumonia at 3 PM, Sunday, at the residence of her son-in-law Richard M. Whitman, 344 South 3rd Street, after an illness of several days, aged 81 years.
Four sons: Joseph, a member of Battery A, 5th U.S. Artillery; William and Samuel, this city; and Francis Shunk of Allentown; one daughter, Mary, wife of Richard M. Whitman; and one brother John Savage, residing at Leinbach's, this county; also two sisters: Mrs. Catharine Gehris of Spring Twp.; and Sarah of Brooklyn, NY.
She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps, of the G.A.R. and the Reformed denomination.
