Frances Hannawell, age 88, died January 6, 1983, in a La Crosse hospital. She was the daughter of Fred and Wilhelmina Stahler.
She was married to Lester J. Hannawell. He preceded her in death in 1966.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church for 74 years and a 50 years member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors are a daughter, Joan, of Wauwatosa; one sister, Lydia, of Elroy, and a niece, Mrs. Robert (Donna Belle) Heding, of Oshkosh.
Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church of Elroy, January 8, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Holling officiating.
Interment was at the Elroy Cemetery.
