She was born Dec. 13, 1942 in Elwood, the daughter of Max W. and Janiece (Jarvis) Leisure.
Mrs. Gordon worked as an RN at the Tipton Hospital; industrial nurse for Fisher Body; homecare nurse for Dana Corpor4ation; and federal WIC program certifier, retiring in 1997.
She was a 1960 graduate of Farimount High School and attended a program at Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1963.
She married Robert R. Gordon Jan. 25, 1964. they shared five brief years of marriage until his passing June 6, 1969.
Mrs. Gordon was a member of Harmony Christian church. She appreciated art work and enjoyed crafts.
She liked to play euchre, and attend day trips in Marion with her church group. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, and holidays with her parents and in-laws.
Mrs. Gordon was known for her dedication to nursing and how much she cared about improving the lives of others. More than anything, she will be remembered for being very devoted to all her family.
Survivors include her children, Brian Noll (Gloria), Petersburg TN, Joseph Lee (Debby), Fairmount, and Suzanne, Durham NC; brother, Phillip J. (Marilyn) Leisure, Farimount; four grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Lou Leisure in 1999.
Services were Friday, June 22 at Harmony Christian church with pastor Roin Meyer officiating.
Burial followed in Knox chapel cemetery.
