Eldest Son of Dwight Eugene and Ruby Pearl Leathers Brown. He was preceded in death by a sister, Florine Prather. Elvin graduated from Keytesville High School in 1950. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career at Collins Rockwell in Cedar Rapids, IA. He then moved to Texas in 1981 to work for LTV/Loral, until retiring in 1999. An avid genealogist, Elvin established membership for himself and his family in S.A.R., The Society of Mayflower Descendents, and Order of the Founders and Patriots. His greatest joy came from his 50 year marriage to Joan. He loved, and was much loved by his immediate and extended family. Visitation with the family was on Wednesday, April 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial services were held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Both were held at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.
