Jennet Ritchie ) married David Findley , son of John Findley and Mary Boyd , 2 Jul 1800 at nr. Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., PA; Marriage date and place given by wife Jennet in her Widow's Pension application, pension No. W-25577 (Nat'l. Archives). She stated that her marriage record was destroyed "by their house getting burned down in Henderson Co., Illinois in the year 1845." She signed by mark Dec 1854 before David D. Gray, J.P., Linn Co., Territory of Oregon; Jennet Ritchie died 16 Apr 1856 at William and Sarah McCaw's farm home, Crawfordsville, Linn Co., OR; She lived with her youngest daughter's family, William and Sarah Ann (Findley) McCaw, on their farm on Brush Creek near Crawfordsville, Linn Co., OR. She died there and was buried in the old McHargue Cemetery (As stated in an old unidentified newspaper clipping at the Oregon Historical Society, Portland, OR, and in Leslie L. Haskin's Linn County Cemetery Survey in Oregon Bulletin)
The house of David and Jennet (Ritchie) Findley burned in 1845. Their marriage records burned in that fire. That was reported in Jennet (or Jane) Findley's application for a Revolutionary War pension.21

based on David Findley's service and his Pension Certificate #14930 of 13 May 1813, both of which are filed together at the National Archives.
Old South Henderson Church Cemetery. The U.S.G.S. database lists South Henderson Cemetery at a location about 3 miles east and one-half mile north of Gladstone, Henderson Co., IL. Whether this is the same as the Old South Henderson Church Cemetery is not known to this writer. Clarifying information might be in Story of South Henderson (full citation not available).
