Mrs. Rosa Skeen Kennedy, 98, died March 16, 2001, at Britthaven of Davidson following several years of declining health.
She was born in Randolph County, Dec. 28, 1902, a daughter of Jordan and Rena Kinley Skeen. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She was married to Jesse L. Kennedy, who died in 1955.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Freeman of Chatham, Va., and Mrs. Ida Mae Hill of Asheboro; two sons, Charles Kennedy of Miramar, Fla., and B.L. Kennedy of Trinity; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Floral Garden Park Cemetery by the Rev. Billy H. Ring. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Britthaven of Davidson, 706 Pineywood Road, Thomasville, N.C. 27360.
