Mr. Joseph “Joe” M. Boaen, 69, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Pruitt Health of Swainsboro following an extended illness.
Mr. Boaen was born January 18, 1949 in Savannah, Ga. to the late Melton Boaen and Elizabeth Schippenbind. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Lee Boaen; brothers, Larry Boaen, and Donald Boaen; sisters, Frances Boaen, and Rose Boaen. Mr. Boaen was an electrician and plumber, he was always willing to help others out. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, hard working man, and a strong fighter, fighting cancer for many years. Mr. Boaen was of the Catholic Faith.
Memorial Service will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
