Friday, August 3, 1900
Obituary.
Little Lillie Seal, daughter of Mr. A. and Anna D. Seals, was born November 23, 1898, and died July 28, 1900, being 1 year, 7 months, and 25 days old at the time of her death. Little Lillie was a lovely child, a beautiful corpse, lovely even in death. She was sick only a few hours before her spirit took its flight to the children's home near the Great White Throne prepared for them by Christ their savior.
The funeral services were held at the U.B. church at this place. A good congregation and a large funeral procession followed to Meriden's beautiful cemetery.
This city deserves credit for the care given its cemetery.
The funeral was preached by the pastor of the U.B. church, Rev. E. B. Slade.
(Note: Seal was also Seals, as printed in newspaper)
