Lawrence Richard Fox, 75, of Houston, Texas, died peacefully at home June 22, 2018 surrounded by family, friends and firefighters. He is a lifetime resident of Houston, a graduate of Milby High School. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Thomas Fox and Miriam Fox. Larry attended Lee College in Baytown. He joined the Houston Fire Department in 1964 and rose to the rank of Senior Captain. He was elected as union delegate on the executive board of Local 341 of IAHFF Association. Larry is a loving husband and father, survived by his wife, Susan Green Fox, and son, Jeffrey Lawrence Fox, married to Kathy Fox, and his granddaughters, Haley Fox and Hanna Fox. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Betty Fox Kubiak, his brother William Thomas Fox, married to Joan Fox, sister Margaret Fox Barber, married to Kenneth Barber, and brother John Franklin Fox, married to Diana Fox. Larry is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews His many friends adored his one-of-a-kind sense of humor and his sweet smile. Visitation Thursday June 28 at 11:00, memorial service at 12:00 noon, and reception all on-site 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Forest Park Lawndale.
