Janis R. Miller (Nee Wenninger) Age 85 of Mequon WI, entered the Lord’s Kingdom on June 20, 2018. Jan bravely fought a long hard battle with cancer for over a year and a half.

The funeral service will be held at Lumen Christi Church at 2750 W. Mequon Rd. Mequon, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. At 11:00 AM a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Jan’s life will be held, with the burial immediately following directly across the street from the Service. A luncheon will follow burial services.

Jan was born in Cincinnati Ohio on November 15, 1932. She graduated from Regina High School and continued on to receive a Registered Nursing Degree from the University of Dayton.

Jan was married to Donald C. Miller on November 16, 1957. They were married for 60 loving years. Jan originally worked as a RN for a heart surgeon in Cincinnati. She also worked in the financial services industry for Strong Mutual Funds for many years. She enjoyed playing golf for most of her adult life and enjoyed most sports especially her beloved Green Bay Packers. She was also actively involved in doing volunteer work aimed at helping others. Jan taught young men coming out of Ethan Allen and Wales correctional facilities how to read and write at St. Gall’s in Milwaukee for more than 30 years.

Jan is survived by her husband Donald, her sons Matthew, Todd and David, her grandchildren A.J, Marissa, Dylan and Brady Miller, Susan (Stagge) Linville her sister, Heather (Linville) McBurney and Shannon Needham Linville her nieces, and other family and friends.

Jan is preceded in death by Robert & Janet (Stagge) Wenninger her parents, and Mary DeYoung her sister.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Salvation Army or St. Jude’s Children’s hospital.

The family of Don and Jan Miller wishes to thank all the wonderful staff and care givers at the Lawlis Hospice facility at St. Mary’s hospital in Mequon , WI. as well as Jan Downey and Gretchen Peterson and all the others who were so instrumental in helping keep Jan comfortable until God called her to his Kingdom.
