Frank Ray Hackney, 39, of South Pekin was pronounced dead Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. He died from injuries suffered in a construction accident in Coffeen.
Born June 29, 1962, in Pekin to Franklin D. and Judith K. Ziegenbien Hackney, he married Jill Slater on Aug. 2, 1980, in Pekin.
Surviving are his father of Tremont; one son, John of Pekin; one daughter, Frankie Hackney of Chicago; and two sisters, Charlene Ohlinger of Bakersfield, Calif., and Doris Williams of Knoxville, Ark.
His mother preceded him in death.
He was a millwright for PhillipsGetschow Construction Co. based out of Chicago.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
