She was born in Dallas, TX on September 11, 1923 the daughter of the late Gradie and Addie Lee (Evans) Jones.
On August 10, 1944 she married her husband of 40 years, Howard Bruce Fletcher. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Edna graduated from the College of Steubenville, Steubenville, OH with a Bachelor of Science degree in education at the age of 50. Before college she was an excellent homemaker, artist and seamstress. After college she taught in the Steubenville school system, retiring in 1988. She even earned the Outstanding Citizen Award in Steubenville.
Edna will be remembered for the total devotion she had for her husband, Howard, her son, James, her family, and the children she taught. She will be dearly missed.
Edna is survived by her son, James and her daughter-in-law, Maria Pujadas-Fletcher of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Howard Bruce Fletcher II, Jamie (John) Fletcher-Flint, Lancelot (Tawny) Fletcher, Jemila Pujadas and Aisha (Brent) Pujadas-Walsh; great-grandchildren: Howie, T.J. and Sam Fletcher-Flint, and Sophia Watson; sister, Gwendolyn Talbert; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents; brother, Clarence Jones; sister, Evelyn Mailes; and brother-in-law, Leon Talbert.
The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
