Mrs. Barbara Ann Woodard Grinstead, age 84, died June 20, 2018, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro. Mrs. Grinstead was born July 28, 1933 in Rentz, Georgia to the late Claxton Woodard and Adon Hobbs Woodard. She attended Dudley High School. She later married the late Charles T. Grinstead and became a homemaker. She spent her last years at Southern Manor Assisted Living in Statesboro. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Mrs. Grinstead is survived by her two children, Charles D. Grinstead of Aachen, Germany and Dianne Garner of Statesboro; four grandchildren, Thomas Scott Garner of Statesboro, Charles Casey Garner of Statesboro, Maria Hoai Grinstead of Aachen, Germany, and Anne Thu Grintsead of Erkelenz, Germany; one great-grandson, Thomas Atticus Garner of Statesboro; two brothers, George Woodard and Ronnie Woodard of Rentz, Georgia; two sisters, Janice Beeler of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Glenda Coleman of Dublin, Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a local hospice organization in Mrs. Grinstead’s memory.
