Sidney "Sid" Lawrence, a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Zachary, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the age of 70. He owned Sid's Seafood, and had a passion for the outdoors and flowers. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather that will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Vining Lawrence; two daughters, SusieQ and husband Red Lasyone, and Gayle Foster; son, Stacey Lawrence; sisters, Patricia Davis and husband Gerald, and Martha Floyd; brothers, Freddie Lawrence and wife Shiela, and Bob Lawrence and wife Nita; grandchildren, Russell, Jared, Kaylen, Breanna, Blake, Lauren, April, and Hunter; and great grandchild, Beaux. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman "Roy" Sr. and Elvie Lawrence; two sons, Alan and Steven Lawrence; and brother Roy Lawrence Jr. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 10am until funeral service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
