Betty Jo Allen Carlisle, age 82, of SHREVEPORT, Louisiana passed away on Thursday June 14, 2018. She was born October 28, 1935 in Downsville, Louisiana to Lesley F. Allen and Jessie L. "Rena" Allen.
Ms. Betty enjoyed sewing, hunting and gardening. She loved to play cards with her friends and loved cooking for her family, she was a great cook.
She is survived by her son, Mike Morris and wife Pam; step-daughter, Kimberly Abercrombie and husband Jo; daughter-in-law, Rene Morris; sister, Barbara Audrisch; grandchildren, Ashley Morris Ashby and husband Michael, Stacy Morris Bryan and husband Steven, Aleesa Morris Ellison and husband Cody, Joseph Cody Abercrombie and wife Heather, Brittany Michelle Abercrombie and fiancé Louis Ibenez; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, of 27 years, Grover G. Carlisle; son Jeffery Allen Morris; granddaughter, Heather Nicole Abercrombie; parents, Jessie L. and Leslie F. Allen; sisters, Pat Bullock and Joyce Rhynehart; brothers, Jimmy Allen and Charles Allen.
A visitation for Betty will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with a celebration beginning at 10:00 AM. An interment will occur Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Centuries Memorial Park. Bro. Doug Allen will officiate the services.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Willis Knighton Bossier ER staff, Dr. Floria, and the nurses who cared for Ms. Betty in room 3040. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donation be made to First Baptist Church of Blanchard or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
