MINEVILLE, N.Y. - Phyllis Mae (Allen) James, age 83, of Mineville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17th 2018 at her home.
She was born on April 10th 1935 in Mineville, N.Y., she was the daughter of of Wesley and Viola (Merrill) Allen.
She graduated from Mineville High School.
Phyllis married the love of her life; Marvin "Moose" Frederick James on May 5th 1956. They were happily married for 62 years.
She loved going to the Saratoga Casino and shopping, especially at the Christmas Tree Shop. She loved gardening and was very proud of her flowers and vegetables. Phyllis loved owls and was an avid collector.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents; her father Wesley Allen in 1982 and her mother Viola Allen on June 5th 2008, four brothers; Wesley "Pete" J. Allen on January 2nd 2000, Harold "Chuck" Raymond Allen on September 26th 1985, James "Jim" "Koochie" Robert Allen on July 16th 2002, and Gary E. Allen on March 3rd 2017, and two sisters-in-law; Shirley T. (Boyea) Allen on September 16th 2010 and Patricia "Pat" A. (Connors) Allen on May 14th 2016.
