She was predeceased by her loving husband, Wesley; and three of her sons, Pete, Jim and Chuck.
Viola enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed afternoon coffee and going to Grace's for tea.
Viola is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis and Marvin James, Grace and Bruce Lamb; and her two sons, David and Adel Allen and Gary Allen; her 12 grandchildren, Sue Mace, Rich James, Elaine Davignon, Amy Allen, Tammy Oleary, David Allen, Joe Allen, Gary Allen Jr., Peter Allen, Ed Allen, Ann DePolito and Kathy Simard; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Allen, Pat Allen; and 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 9, 2008, 11 a.m. at the South Moriah Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y.
